For over a decade, I've had a camera in my hands, but the experiences that shape my photographic eye go back much further. My life has been a rich tapestry of discipline, creativity, and craftsmanship—qualities I now pour into every image. My journey began with a deep immersion in music, learning multiple instruments and understanding the rhythm and harmony required to create something beautiful. This musical ear taught me about timing, composition, and the emotional resonance of a well-placed note or, now, a well-composed shot.
A foundational decade was spent serving in the Army, an experience that instilled in me an unwavering commitment to detail, discipline, and the ability to operate effectively under any condition. These are the same principles I apply to my professional work, ensuring reliability and precision. Later, I traded the uniform for a mash tun, spending ten years running a successful distillery. The art of distillation is one of careful process, patience, and transformation—turning raw materials into something refined. This time cemented my appreciation for craftsmanship, light, and the patience required to wait for the perfect moment.
